Board of Management

The Board of Management of Coastwide Child and Family Services Inc are a team of dedicated and passionate professionals who each bring to their voluntary roles a unique and dynamic perspective.

Tim Davidson

Chair

Tim is a Chartered Accountant with over 40 years professional experience in providing accounting and auditing services to the not-for-profit and for-profit sectors. Tim has held various leadership roles with both local and international organisations and is passionate about assisting not-for-profits in achieving their financial and organisational goals.

Tim is married with two adult children and two grandchildren.

Rob Shone

Vice Chair

With a background in before and after school care, Rob has over ten years of experience working with children in both England and Australia. Rob is passionate about providing quality outcomes for children, and is currently an Operations Manager for a youth and family focussed not-for-profit in Sydney.

Rob and his wife have a nine-year-old Maltese.

Kerry Harper

treasurer

Kerry is a qualified Chartered Accountant with experience working with various accountancy firms, including the ‘Big 4’, the not-for-profit sector and the Federal Government.

Her diverse knowledge and expertise are highly valued. Her passion for excellence in practice has been invaluable as the organisation grows from strength to strength. Kerry has one daughter.



Geoff Brazel

Director

As a solicitor at Brazel Moore Lawyers, Geoff has extensive experience in all areas of general practice.  With a career which began as a Legal Clerk in the Office of the Clerk of the Peace, Geoff was admitted as a solicitor in 1979.  He moved to the Central Coast to set-up as a partner in practice in 1981.

Geoff is passionate about governance and excellence in service delivery. Geoff has three adult children.



Our Coastwide Child and Family Services Leadership and Admin Team

As a proven Early Childhood Educator and Leader, CEO, Kellie demonstrates a passion for delivering the highest quality community based child and family support services. Leading a motivated team by example, as Nominated Supervisor of Coastwide Family Day Care, Kellie’s commitment to early childhood education and care is demonstrated by her hands on determination to ensure the highest quality implementation of the National Quality Framework within Coastwide Family Day Care.

Kellie’s commitment to delivering positive learning outcomes continues in her leadership of the Supported Playgroups, MyTime and PlayConnect programs, where she strives to ensure our programs deliver services which focus on the individuality and diversity of children and families.

The dedicated Admin Team, Jeni, Megan, Mel and Rochelle, equip our organisation to deliver the highest possible customer service, whilst meeting urgent time frames, unique and diverse family needs and regulatory requirements.

Jeni is our longest serving Admin Team member. Jeni’s attention to detail and research skills are invaluable as is her enthusiasm for supporting her colleagues. Jeni is an advocate for flexible working conditions and continues to achieve whilst working remotely following her family’s relocation to Queensland.

Megan, our Accounts Administrator brings a fresh perspective to the team. With an invaluable background in financial accounting and auditing, Megan is committed to providing best practice contemporary accounts admin support to her colleagues.

Mel’s strengths are fully utilised as our Family Day Care Placement Officer. Her thorough understanding of what families are looking for is a result from her many years as both a Family Day Care parent and a Family Day Care Educator. Mel strives to find the right placement for each and every child, working closely with families and Educators to find to a perfect match.

Rochelle, our Reception Admin Assistant, is happiest when working in a challenging and fast paced environment and welcomes the diversity each day brings. Her background and strengths in event management is a valuable addition to the team.

Our Child and Family Services Support Team

With a wealth of experience in the early childhood education and care sector and family support our Child and Family Services Support Team; Amanda, Jade, Katrina, Lisa, Maddi, Mandy, Sam, Sharon, Tiffany, Tracy, Vicki and Wendy, share a passion for quality outcomes for young children and their families.

As Senior Playgroup Facilitator, Amanda’s demonstrates her commitment to our family support programs; Supported Playgroups, MyTime and PlayConnect, in her every day in her interactions with children, families and her colleagues. Her extensive experience in early childhood education and care inform her strengths based, family centred practice.

As an invaluable team member, Jade has made a commitment to making sure each children has access to engaging and interesting play opportunities in all our programs. Her commitment extends to PlayConnect when she facilitates a weekly session for children with Autism Spectrum Disorder like characteristics.

With a passionate for lifelong learning and capacity building, Katrina is a dedicated and well respected team member. With many years of experience in early childhood education and care, Katrina shares her love of baking with her grateful colleagues.

As one of our Educational Leaders, Lisa shares her passion for individuality and diversity in her support and implementation of the Early Years Learning Framework and Framework for School Aged Care. With over twenty years of experience, Lisa works with individual Educators to highlight their strengths and develop their programming to ensure the best outcomes for children.

As our newest team member, Maddi brings a wealth of knowledge and experience in the early childhood education and care sector. Her commitment to supporting Educators, families and her colleagues drives her enthusiasm to build genuine and meaningful relationships. We are delighted she has joined our team.

With extensive experience in early childhood education and care, Mandy enjoys working with our team of resourceful and compassionate early childhood professionals. She acknowledges and shares the team’s commitment to positive early childhood outcomes and in particular enjoys supporting some amazingly resilient families within the MyTime program.

As one of our Educational Leaders, and our Recruitment and Retention Specialist, Sam strives to guide and mentor educators to be the best they can be. Sam has worked in the early childhood education and care sector for several years and is passionate about the pivotal role early education plays in providing a solid foundation for children’s future learning and development.

Drawing on her own experience as a Family Day Care Educator, Sharon is our new Educator Trainer and, at each training session, she acknowledge the amazing strengths each new Educator offers children and their families. Her passion for lifelong learning is also demonstrated by her role as accredited Triple P Practitioner within the Supported Playgroups Team.

Tiffany is an intrinsic part of our child and family service support team and she brings a fresh perspective to everything she does. With previous experience as a Family Day Care Educator, Tiffany loves to embrace new ideas and she enjoys facilitating activities which cater to the individual needs of children and their families.

With several years experience as an early childhood educator, most recently as a Coastwide Family Day Care Educator, Tracy is the newest member of Child and Family Services Support Team. Her commitment to building relationships with educators, children and their families, and her colleagues has been widely acknowledged.

Vicki, an early childhood educator with over twenty five years of experience, loves her role as mentor and guide to prospective Family Day Care Educators. Her wealth of experience and insights are valuable resources, which she also shares as part of the Family Support team.

Wendy joined the team following the dynamic growth of Coastwide Family Day Care in the Hunter New England region. Wendy’s passion for Family Day Care is informed by over twenty five years of experience in the early childhood education and care sector. Her goal as Coordinator is to support Educators to be the best they can be.
