Coastwide Family Day Care is a safe, secure home based child care service for children aged 6 weeks to 13 years.

Educators provide education and care in a small group environment for a maximum of four non-school aged children, and may also provide before and after school care and vacation care for up to three school aged children.

Children’s individual interests, strengths and developmental needs are supported through play based learning activities linked to the Early Years Learning Framework.

Coastwide Family Day Care offers children and their families a consistent and familiar child care service where siblings can be cared for together in a small group setting.

With almost 35 years of experience delivering quality educational outcomes for children we are proud to celebrate our mission and philosophy. We are pleased to have achieved an overall rating of ‘Meeting National Quality Standards’.

Our Mission

To provide a high quality, home-based education and care service where our community’s children are nurtured by responsive Educators. Our service is enriched by positive relationships with parents, the community and the environment.

We aim to deliver an efficient, flexible, inclusive, caring service that meets the diverse needs of the community.

Our Philosophy

  • We believe children learn best through play, are capable of building knowledge from their world.
  • That play environments should be safe but stimulating so as to evoke curiosity, experimentation and exploration.
  • We believe children need to feel loved, accepted and part of a group regardless of differences, to foster self-esteem and maximise the probability of reaching their full potential.

Our Philosophy is guided by the principles outlined in Early Learning Years Framework.
